OUR STORY

Ecological Landscapes Rooted in the Flora of Pennsylvania

Hepatica Landscapes is an ecological landscape design, restoration and

botanical surveying practice based in southeastern Pennsylvania.

Our work includes native landscape design, field botany and ecological restoration. We design and install native landscapes, establish and manage meadows, restore degraded woodlands, provide long term ecological stewardship and conduct botanical surveys throughout Pennsylvania.

Rather than approaching a property as a blank slate, we begin with what is already there: its vegetation, soils, hydrology, light, disturbance history and surrounding plant communities. Those conditions help determine what should be planted, what should be restored, what should be protected and how the landscape should be managed over time.
